The prologue with the basic game setting is nearly ready. I've been doing some heavy rewrites. I guess I'm a perfectionist, because I'm not happy with it yet. I'm going to put up a page with dice pictures so everybody can select a set. That way if we do a traveling or pickup game (or run a game at a con?) we'll have unique dice for everybody. Just pick which ones you want and email me.
One of my favorite comments so far has been that this site looks like something on the deep web. I'm trying to keep it private and off search engines. I worry about the public finding it and thinking it's an e-commerce site selling games and dice. Nope, it's just a site for myself and a few friends. If you're here and you don't know me, there's nothing to see here. Move along.
Anyway, after reading dozens of different scenarios, game systems and ideas, I've decided to mash them together and do something that's either unique or totally derivative. Part of it is like the adventure RPG that we found at VisionCon year before last (the one where Geoff decided to get away from the sales pitch), part like the one I bought this year (where they were so desperate for new material that they basically told Mark and me that we could write for them). Throw in some fringe material from CtoCAM and a little early 20th century history and you're starting to get a more complete picture.
I also wanted something that could be easily adapted to an episodic format so any of us can play even if the whole group isn't available. I'm planning a test-drive in the next week or so. And I'm thinking that my Fortune and Glory miniatures can do double duty. I like using miniatures. Oh, and I'm going to keep all this in a case in the car so no matter where I go, there it is.
