It was in the summer of 2017 when I couldn't take sitting in front of a screen any more, so I decided to take a walk. Sure, it was hot and humid, being summer and Arkansas. Then a few minutes turned into a mile, then two, then four, then a late afternoon, then a Saturday. And it just kept getting better. A bottle of water turned into a backpack and down the road turned into the Buffalo National River. As the miles pass the years and pounds drop off and I feel better than I did twenty years ago. Every trip brings new adventures, so here are a few (dozen?) pictures and an odd thought or two.
