The site of a B-25 crash in 1948, Round Top came highly recommended by several people.  The lower half of the trail is no doubt more beautiful in winter when the leaves don't obscure the view, but the viewing platforms at the north and south ends of the upper trail level make it an exhilarating experience any time.  This one isn't state or national, but is maintained by a Newton County group.
