Futurist. Antiquarian. Warrior-Poet. Wanderer. Dreamer. Explorer. Lost Soul. Genius. Madman. Free Thinker. Crazy Old Hermit. Enigma. Menace to Society.
These are but a few of the nicer (and more socially acceptable) labels that have been applied to Keith Alman in his life. Ask him any question, you'll get an answer. If it's a good day, you might get several different answers to the same question. He is a professional amateur who feels that any day when he didn't learn something new should have been longer.
With degrees in English and Medieval Literature, he sat out at an early age to waste everybody's time. He has collected such dubious honors as the title Laird of Glencairn and an extremely sketchy Doctorate of Divinity. By day he serves as a Network Administrator at a school district, by night he studies maps (for the weekend) and on weekends he's often missing and (on one memorable occasion) the subject of a massive multi-agency manhunt.
He lists his major influences as Geoffrey Chaucer, William Shakespeare, Aleister Crowley (but not the naughty bits), Captain Sir Richard Francis Burton (especially the naughty bits), Ernest Hemingway, Flannery O'Connor, William Faulkner, Douglas Adams and William McGonagall (bet you have to google that one). To his enemies, he is the Scourge of Glencairn. To his friends, he is the Black Badger of Glencairn. To everybody else...
It doesn't matter, he is the Reverend Doctor Keith M. Alman, Laird of Glencairn, Prophet and Revelator of the Church of Universal Light (Triumphant!), the Black Badger of Glencairn. And he will be heard by those who will listen.
